Jeremy Christie is struggling to shake off a groin injury he picked up after returning to his FC Tampa Bay club after the World Cup. After missing several weeks of football, Christie had been expected to be back in contention for tonight's important match at home to Vancouver. Unfortunately, it has now been reported by TampaBay.com that Christie will not be in the squad.
It is an important match for the "Rowdies", who sit in the eighth and last play-off spot in the US second football tier (the USSF D2). However, with 6 of their 8 remaining games at home, they are still a decent chance of playing post-season football.
