Tough EPL Debut for Reid

Winston Reid started his first Premier League match overnight, but was given a torrid time out of position at right back. He was not the only Hammer to have a tough night against a rampant Aston Villa, who ran out convincing 3 nil winners. Reid and teammates will be looking forward to getting back to East London. Highlights here.

Meanwhile, Ryan Nelsen marshalled his Blackburn defense to a clean sheet and valuable 1 nil win over Everton (highlights). Chris Wood was not in the West Brom squad that got spanked 6 nil at Chelsea.

Tommy Smith's Ipswich were held 1-1 by Burnley at Portman Road. Plymouth Argyle had the same result at home to Carlisle, but Rory Fallon was subbed in the 37th minute (and he wasn't injured). The man who replaced him found Plymouth's equaliser so Fallon could be in for a difficult period on the south coast.
